Yes. Often clients who have progressed through the initial treatment plan return for single maintenance follow-up treatments.
Each person’s nervous system has a unique response to treatments. Most clients see at least some improvement with their first treatment.
Generally, each treatment gets double the length of relief as the previous session. If there are three hours of relief the first day, the second treatment would bring approximately six hours of relief, and expectedly, 12 hours of improvement with the third treatment.
Often there is one of two responses:
Clients have increased energy and will start tackling projects that have been on their to-do list for years. One 50+ woman cleaned out her garage in 3 days and then tackled her attic!
Clients find they are so relaxed they take naps! This is often seen in clients with chronic pain, where they have been unable to relax for years. Usually by the second week there is less need to nap and the client adjusts to the feeling of being relaxed. There is still productivity, but from a state of relaxation.
No. All the techniques are done with the client fully clothed and there is no use of massage lotion or oil.
It is best to check with your insurance provider to see if massage is a covered benefit. If not, and you have a note from your doctor prescribing therapeutic massage for a specific condition, you may be able to pay with your Health Savings Account or Flex Spending Account. Upon request, I will email you a receipt to submit to your insurance provider, or for retaining HSA or FSA documentation. A Unique Approach does not bill or accept insurance.
